Picnic at the Claypans- Alice Springs, NT, Australia

Today we headed 10 minutes out of town to have a quick Bush picnic.

We had a wonderful time soaking in some warm sun since the wind was chilly!

Penny loved sniffing and barking while we ate.

Afterwards, Emmylou hiked around- she was too funny! We really thought she’d have a tough time walking on the rocks and in her boots, but she hiked around like a champ (mostly following Penny, I swear she was calling her name too).

The flies were still around (we really can’t believe it; will they ever die?!) and Emmylou did accidentally ate one and spit it out. LOL

It was a quick trip out Bush but was perfect for a low-key Saturday.
